The goal of the Humanitarian Award is to honor filmmakers who are bringing awareness to issues of Ecological, Political, Social Justice, Health and Wellness, Animals, Wildlife, Conservation, Global and Spiritual importance.
Each year Best Shorts bestows a Grand Prize Humanitarian Award to a deserving filmmaker who is committed to making a difference in the world through impactful filmmaking that highlights a critical need of our time – combined with exceptional filmmaking craft.
In addition to the Grand Prize Humanitarian Award winner, the judges award some of the other nominees with three other levels of awards – Outstanding Achievement, Award of Distinction and Honorable Mention.
The Grand Prize winner will receive a beautiful 24 K gold-plated statuette created by the company that made the coveted Oscar statuette. All levels of Humanitarian Award winners are promoted on the Best Shorts and Global Film Awardswebsites, through Facebook, Twitter and all award winners receive beautiful laurels to use on all of your marketing material.
